The Hampton Roads Black Caucus (HRBC) Community Engagement Team Subcommittee (CET) focuses on the HRBC ability to impact the Communities that we serve. This sub-committee reports to the HRBC President and Vice President and present a monthly report to the executive committee. CET focus is to work with the citizens and the policy makers to change things for the better. Their tasks include but are not limited to:
Hold meetings at least monthly to discuss current issues and present ideas on how to solve them.
Find volunteer opportunities for the organization to participate in. (i.e. foodbank, salvation army, coat drive)
Recruiting and supporting CET Team Members who can attend City Council and School Board meetings and report back major issues we should keep our eyes on.
